Inaugural Cleanup/Party!
Warner Street - August 2006

Thanks to all the new Block Captains and residents who turned out for the inaugural Cleanup/Party on Warner Street on August 26!  With your help we:

  • cleaned up trash all along Warner Street between Ravine and W. Clifton

  • learned new and useful skills with weed whips, blowers, and other tools to cut back weeds and tall grasses along sidewalks and in front of properties

  • mulched trees along the front of the Fairview School

  • cleared a HUGE amount of tree overgrowth that covered the sidewalk along the north side of the Tower property

  • drank a ridiculous amount of tasty Baba Budan’s coffee, which they graciously donated for this event.  Thank you!

Check out these pics - yes, totally uncensored!

Before... Way to work that hedge trimmer!

And after - it's rumored half these cars were reported missing, so total was the transformation...

Every day is a dusty road...

Work it, work it...

Life as a Block Captain... (it's all good)!

No hill too steep for a Block Captain...

Here's a dedicated crew...

Caution - perfectionist at work...

We don't know these guys...

Yes, the bags did end up full...!

Caught in the act...

Just a spoon full of sugar...

Luckily - they didn't call the hotline!!!
